ZeTrip… the end
Week 31 – How to summarize what we lived for 7 months ?! It is hard and I’m still thinking about how I will answer the question people will ask in a few days: “How was it ?!”

The most traditional dish of the island of Chiloé is the Curanto.
We were on la Tierra del Fuego, on the Chilean part, looking for a place to sleep on our way between Ushuaia and Punta Arenas. It was incredibly windy and a little bit cold and rainy…
The Caldillo de Congrio is a fish soup made with fish broth, potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, onions, fish (congrio – eel – but can also be made with other white fishes) and the Chilean spice merquén (smoked chili pepper). It is delicious!
Week 28 – I have the feeling that we did not enjoy this beautiful road as we should have…
Week 27 – This week we reached the Carretera Austral in Chile, landscapes are so different!
This hike is the most famous in El Chalten if you want to see the Fitz Roy summit from a very nice view point: its foot!
It was not the first time I was walking on a glacier but I really couldn’t remember the other one as I was a little girl “lost in the French Alps” 🙂
Week 25 – This week we met the 2 big guys of the Argentinian South Patagonia: el señor Glaciar Perito Moreno and el señor Fitz Roy.
In south Patagonia the most common product from the sea is the centolla, so called King crab. We couldn’t avoid it and were forced to taste its different cooking styles 🙂
One of the most common and delicious food in Patagonia, in both Argentina and Chile, is the Cordero asado, the grilled lam! DE-LI-CIOUS!!!
This is one of my first attempts at long exposure photos. I’ll have to get better at it!
This one was not really a hike, let’s say it was more of a walk. It only takes 1 hour to go to the Mirador Cuernos on a very easy path. The real challenge of this one is the wind as it can reach gusts of 90km/h which are very hard to resist!
In December, at the end of the W circuit, we had done a part of this hike, but we stopped at Refugio Chileno…
Week 24 – This week I wanted to talk about the very good quality of the museums I’ve visited in Tierra del Fuego and Punta Arenas. But something happened…
Week 21 – We spent the week in the city of Puerto Natales and in THE FABULOUS Torres del Paine park!
Week 20 – Here we are! I’ve been dreaming about this part of the world for years and here it is, here I am, I am in Patagonia!
