Salta province – A little extra on the variety of its landscapes, Argentina

Week 14 – Doing a little exception to my rule of publishing only “1 pic a week”, I really want to share how diverse was the province of Salta in the north of Argentina.

Leaving Córdoba, we headed north to visit more Jesuitica estancias, beautiful white mansions lost in foggy green landscapes. We crossed little quiet villages like La Cumbre which really gave me the desire to stay there for a while as it’s cafes and restaurants were so relax and welcome.

We arrived in Cafayate, capital of the white wine Torrontes. This small city was really laid back and really friendly! We had good white wine there, delicious empanadas (which I will speak about in another post for sure!) and nice walks around wineries, vineyards and the main square of the city, the Plaza San Martín.

Here we met again with some parrots!

With a broken heart, we left Cafayate to reach Salta and on our way we fall into the Quebrada de Cafayate where a complete different world appeared to us!

We couldn’t visit all the places of the province because of the weather and a little lack of time, but definitely the very north of Argentina has a lot to offer!
