This day began with a very beautiful 7 km walk to the Italiano campsite where we had planned to stop because it is the starting point of a detour to the Valle del Francès.

This was our first actual walking day. We will have 4. The goal was to hike the 11 km to join the second shelter we had booked: the Refugio Paine Grande.
